When it comes to eating cleaner and dropping pounds, loading up on produce is kind of a no-brainer. Except: some types of fruits and vegetables might be better at helping you lose weight than others, according to a new study published in PLOS Medicine.

This is what Harvard University researchers found after tracking the eating habits and weight changes of some 130,000 men and women for more than two decades.

While eating more fruits and vegetables overall was associated with weight loss, these picks helped push the number on the scale down more than others:

• Apples and pears
• Berries
• Cruciferous vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts)
• Leafy greens (kale, chard, mustard greens, spinach, romaine lettuce)
• Tofu or soy
