Keep Your Shirts Long

If you are short, petite, or just have a short torso, you will understand how height can steal outer-beauty, just because our waist sinches a few inches below our friends. So, we have to think outside the box sometimes, to come up with the best looking outfit that makes you look proportional.

So don’t forget to always be lengthening your waist area.

No matter what occasion it may be; work, running, children, lounge, shopping, etc., you must always be aware of short tops. THEY BELONG BACK IN THE 90’s WHERE THEY CAME FROM. They cut off the curve of your body and slam directly into your waist! Short tops can damage a great outfit and make your look outdated in a snap! Wear shirts that are very slim, or that will shrink nicely (Cotton is my favorite to manipulate with). Shirts need to come below your waist, but are not wide at the top of the shoulders. Slim tank tops do wonders for us. Today’s tops are made for us to show our stuff, too! Stretchy shirts are your best bet to keep around in every color. Always have a black and white tank top. But more importantly, have tank tops that are new, fresh and brightly colored.

It’s 2011… go to your closet and THROW AWAY ALL SHIRTS THAT DO NOT FLATTER YOUR BODY PROPORTIONS!

Let your clothes lengthen your core, your stomach and your torso. So, keep it below the belt, or actually, way below your actual waist. Your tops and jeans should all come together around your mid to lower hips. Again,I am 4’10”, so I’m speaking to a much small demograph, I realize that.
